AZ82.60-P-0001-02EC Retrofit iPod Wiring Harness

Component Identification:

1 Make a mark to the left of the glove compartment (10) in accordance with dimensions "a" and "b".

Dimensions:
a = 20 mm
b = 20 mm

2 Drill bore (arrow C) with a diameter of 19 mm corresponding to the mark made beforehand on the left at glove compartment (10).

3 Open cover of glove compartment (10).
4 Route iPod wiring harness (8) in glove compartment (10) and route black iPod wiring harness coupling (7) to the outside through previously drilled hole.
5 Insert grommet (12) into hole.

6 Wrap iPod wiring harness (8) in felt tape (13), beginning at glove compartment
7 Wrap iPod interface (6) with felt tape (14) as shown.

Leave a cutout free for adhesive strips (15) included in package contents.

8 Affix adhesive strips (15) included in package contents to iPod interface (6).

9 Remove optical fiber (16) from black 44-pin coupling (1) and install at same position in black 44-pin coupling (4) of wiring harness for iPod interface (3).

Only if optical fiber (16) is installed.

10 Connect black 44-pin plug (2) of iPod interface wiring harness (3) to black 44-pin coupling (1) of vehicle wiring harness.

The black 44-pin coupling (4) and the green housing with the coupling will be connected to the removed audio components at a later point.

11 Route blue 18-pin coupling (5) of wiring harness for iPod interface (3) to right below instrument panel.
12 Connect blue 18-pin coupling of wiring harness for iPod interface (3) to iPod interface (6).
13 Wrap iPod interface wiring harness (3) with felt tape.

14 Remove glove box air duct (19).
15 Remove protective foil from adhesive strip at iPod interface (6) and glue iPod interface (6) to cable duct (17).
16 Fold floor covering (18) to one side and route iPod interface wiring harness (3) behind this.
17 Install glove box air duct (19).
18 Place glove compartment (10) in front passenger footwell.
19 Connect black iPod wiring harness coupling (7) of iPod wiring harness at top (arrow D) to iPod interface (6).
