Removing
Perform following operation step on both sides of vehicle.

1 Counterhold tie rod (6) and loosen jam nut (5)
2 Release boot (3) on rack-and-pinion steering (4).
3 Release inner tie rod (2) on rack-and-pinion steering (4).

The rack-and-pinion steering (4) need no longer be counterheld when releasing and tightening the inner tie rod (2).

4 Screw inner tie rod (2) into tie rod (6) until the inner tie rod (2) can be removed from the rack-and-pinion steering (4).
5 Unscrew and remove inner tie rod (2) from tie rod (6).
6 Detach boot (3) from inner tie rod (2).

Install
Install in reverse order. The inner tie rods (2) here are to be replaced by the ones included in the scope of supply.
