GF82.30-P-3010CA Wipe Stop Function
GF82.30-P-3010CA Wipe Stop Function
MODEL 207.3 /4
- with CODE (551) Antitheft alarm system (ATA [EDW])
Function requirements, general
^ Circuit 15R ON
^ Wipe or wash function activate
The circuit status of circuit 15R is transmitted by the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) via interior CAN (CAN B) to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
Wipe stop in general
The wipe stop function prevents the wiper motor (M6/1) from being actuated when the engine hood is open.
Function sequence for wipe stop
If an open engine hood is detected at a speed of v < 3 km/h via the status of the engine hood switch pedestrian protection + ATA Hall sensor (A38/1) (with code (U60) Pedestrian protection) or the left engine hood contact switch (S62/43) (without code (U60) Pedestrian protection), the corresponding wipe function is aborted immediately. The wipe stop function is interrupted at a speed of v > 6 km/h, i.e. the wiper motor is actuated as from this speed again.
The instrument cluster (A1) transmits the vehicle speed information to the front SAM control unit via the interior CAN.
The steering column tube module (N80) directly reads in the switch position of the combination switch (S4) and transmits it to the front SAM control unit via the chassis CAN (CAN E). The status of the engine hood (open or closed) is defined via the status of the engine hood switch pedestrian protection + ATA Hall sensor (with code (U60) Pedestrian protection) or the left engine hood contact switch (without code (U60) Pedestrian protection).
The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) reads in the status of the engine hood switch pedestrian protection + ATA Hall sensor (with code (U60) Pedestrian protection) or the left engine hood contact switch (without code (U60) Pedestrian protection) and transmits it via interior CAN to the front SAM control unit. The front SAM control unit interrupts the actuation of the wiper motor.
