AN82.60-P-0016-05SX Retrofit Video Signal Line

1 Wrap video signal line (2) with felt tape.
2 Route white 1-pin connector (1) of video signal line (2) from front passenger footwell to white 1-pin coupling (3) of previously installed media interface wiring harness.







3 Connect white 1-pin connector of video signal line (2) with white 1-pin coupling of previously installed media interface wiring harness (5).
4 Route video signal line (2) and media interface wiring harness (5) behind right prefuse box (F1/6) (arrow A).







5 Route video signal line (2) along media interface wiring harness to media interface control unit (N125/1) and fix in place with cable tie (9).







6 Cover center console with a rag.
7 Fold right front floor covering (7) to side in area of transmission tunnel.
8 Route black 40-pin coupling (6) of video signal line (2), as shown, in slot of COMAND controller unit.

Route video signal line (2) behind hose (8). The video signal line (2) must be routed approx. 200 mm out of the slot of the COMAND controller unit.







9 Form a loop with video signal line (2), as shown, and fix in place with cable tie (10) behind right front floor covering (7).







10 Remove black 20-pin contact carrier (6.1) from black 40-pin connector (6) of video signal line (2).

The black 40-pin coupling (6) is no longer required.

11 Remove transparent line (tr) of video signal line (2) from contact cavity 22 of black 20-pin contact carrier (6.1).
12 Remove screened line (sc) of video signal line (2) from contact cavity 33 of black 20-pin contact carrier (6.1).

The black 20-pin contact carrier (6.1) is no longer required.







13 Remove black 20-pin contact carrier (11.1) from black 40-pin coupling (11) of vehicle wiring harness (12).
14 Install transparent line (tr) of video signal line (2) in contact cavity 22 of black 20-pin contact carrier (11.1).
15 Install screened line (sc) of video signal line (2) in contact cavity 33 of black 20-pin contact carrier (11.1).







16 Install black 20-pin contact carrier (11.1) in black 40-pin coupling (11) of vehicle wiring harness (12).
17 Fix video signal line (2) in place at vehicle wiring harness (12) with cable tie (13).
