Alldata "Normal Service" Required and Recommended Items

Previously, the maintenance scopes alternated between the minor basic service (Service A) and the major basic service (Service B). These services have now been classified as the technically essential Basic Service (Required Package in USA) and the additional PLUS package (Recommended Package in USA).

A reduced basic package for the Basic Service has been defined for price-conscious customers. This basic package dispenses with some of the services that were previously included in the Basic Service. A PLUS package has also been developed to allow those customers for whom convenience and service is important to continue to have these service items performed by your local repair facility. Basic service A or B is required every 10,000 mi or once a year.

Alldata's Normal Service Schedules have been taken from Mercedes Benz suggested practices. When the Alldata Normal schedule lists a (Required Service) item, it must be included in the normal schedule. When Alldata lists a (Recommended Service) item it should be offered to the customer by the service advisor during a consultation because it no longer forms part of the maintenance scopes (as per Mercedes Benz). In the event that a (Required Service) or (Recommended Service) notation is not attached to a service item, it should be considered as a (Required Service) item.
