A40/3 COMAND control unit
H4/27 Center cockpit speaker (centerfill)






1 Wrap felt tape around speaker branch-off line (3.1) of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3).






2 Connect black 20-pin plug connector (6) of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) to black 20-pin connector (7) of vehicle wiring harness.
3 Remove black, 2-pin optical fiber connector (11) from black, 20- pin connector (7), and install in black, 20-pin connector (4).
4 Route InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) at bottom left in installation opening.
The black 20-pin connector (4) will be connected to the COMAND controller unit at a later stage. The InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) obstructs the installation of the COMAND controller unit because of its size.
The COMAND controller unit is only possible when the InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) is located as low down as possible in the rear area.






5 Route black, 32-pin connector (5) of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3) into the front passenger footwell.
The black, 32-pin connector (5) will be connected to the InCar Internet control unit (1) at a later stage.






6 Route black 2-pin plug connector and black 2-pin connector of speaker branch-off line (3.1) of InCar Internet adapter wiring harness (3), as shown, to the installation location of the center cockpit speaker (centerfill) (H4/27).
Use a pull-through device.






7 Detach black 2-pin connector (8) from center cockpit speaker (centerfill) (H4/27).
8 Connect black, 2-pin plug (10) to black 2-pin connector (8) of vehicle wiring harness.
9 Connect black 2-pin connector (9) to center cockpit speaker (centerfill) (H4/27).
