- with CODE (Z07) Top protection and emergency fresh air system

Emergency Fresh Air System Compressed Gas Bottle:

Special Tools:

1. Detach discharge hose (1) on pressure reducing valve (2). Keep thread on union nut (1a) and connection fitting (2a) clean as well as free from oil and grease

Counterhold when loosening and tightening the union nut (1a) on the connection fitting (2a) of the pressure reducing valve (2).

2. Unscrew locking bolt (3a) and disconnect electrical connector (3) on solenoid valve of pressure medium reservoir for emergency fresh air system (Y128).

Component Identification:

3. Connect pin (A) of solenoid valve (Y128) with negative terminal of the on-board electrical system battery (G1).

Use black line (020) and two black alligator clips (022).

4. Connect line (011) with red line (020), fuse holder (033) and red alligator clip (022) to positive terminal of the onboard electrical system battery (G1).

Protect uninsulated line end of line (011) prior to contact with vehicle parts







5. Hold uninsulated line end of line (011) on pin (B) of the solenoid valve (Y128) for approx. 1 to 2 seconds.

Solenoid valve (Y128) opens, gas for breathing escapes at the connection fitting (2a) of the pressure reducing valve (2)

Actuate the solenoid valve (Y128) for only approx. 1 to 2 seconds in order not to drop below the minimum filling pressure of the pressure gas bottle

6. Install in the reverse order.
