System Description

DESCRIPTION

The speed control system is designed to automatically maintain vehicle speed at any driver-selected speed above approximately 30 mph and below 125 mph. The system is comprised of an electronic servo which consists of a throttle actuator with integrated electronics and other parts including the actuator cable, horn relay, driver control switches, a brake lamp switch, a deactivator switch and a clutch switch for manual transmission vehicles. The speed signal is generated by the programmable speedometer/odometer module (PSOM). The electronic servo is mounted LH rear corner of the engine compartment and is connected to the throttle linkage with an actuator cable.

OPERATION

To operate speed control system, engine must be running and vehicle speed must exceed 30 mph. When On-Off switch is actuated, the system is ready to accept a set speed signal. With On switch engaged, vehicle speed exceeding 30 mph and stable, depress the Set-Acc button. The speed now set will be maintained until brake pedal is depressed, system is turned off or a new speed has been set.
