Fluid - A/T: Testing and Inspection

FLUID LEVEL CHECK
1. Ensure vehicle is on level surface.
2. Apply parking brake and block drive wheels.
3. Run engine to warm transaxle fluid until it is between 151° F and 171° F.
4. With engine idling, apply service brake and shift from Park to Low and back, stopping in every gear.
5. With vehicle in Park, remove oil level dipstick and ensure oil level is between appropriate marks.

NOTE: Use bottom of dipstick temperature scale when fluid temperature is between 86° F and 122° F. Use top temperature scale when fluid temperature is between 151° F and 171° F.

6. If transaxle fluid level is low, refer to Fluid Change for refill procedure.
