Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL



1. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.



2. Use a deep well socket to remove the ECT sensor from the intake manifold coolant outlet.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor to 15-20 Nm (11-14 ft lb).
3. Fill the cooling system.
