IGN13 - Check Ignition Coil Resistance

^ Disconnect the wire(s) from the ignition coil.

^ Measure:

Circuit Terminals Resistance

Primary Positive to negative 1.4 to 1.6 ohms

Secondary Positive to high voltage 9.8 to 10.0 kohms

^ Are the resistance readings within specifications?

YES -- Go to IGNS in EEC Pinpoint Tests. Ignition Signal (IGNS)

NO -- REPLACE the ignition coil.
