Mounts

The steering gear housing is installed onto the bulkhead using steering gear insulators. The housing may move slightly when the steering wheel is turned. If the housing movement is more than 2 mm (0.08 inch), replace the steering gear insulators. If one or both of the brackets move, check the torque of the bracket bolts as shown. The correct torque of the bracket bolts is 73-97 Nm (54-72 ft. lbs.).
