A/C - Poor Cooling In High Ambient Temperatures
Article No.92-25-15
Dec. 2, 1992
AIR CONDITIONING - POOR COOLING IN HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURES OR IN CONGESTED/HEAVY TRAFFIC DRIVING
LIGHT TRUCK:
1993 VILLAGER
ISSUE:
Inadequate A/C cooling may occur when outside ambient temperatures are above 85~ F (29~ C) or in congested/heavy traffic driving. This may be caused by the A/C system being improperly set on the outside air mode instead of on the recirculated air mode.
ACTION:
Make sure the owner understands that for maximum cooling the A/C system is set in the recirculation mode, cooling already cool air. This is indicated by the illumination of the light in the outside/recirculation air switch. Refer to the Owner Manual for instructions on the operation of the A/C system.
