LABOR ALLOWANCES

Inspect for yellow Paint on END of Brake Master Cylinder

0.2 Hrs. - Insert in Box "A" on Form 1864

Install New Brake Master Cylinder (includes Inspection and bleeding of system)

0.6 Hrs. - Insert in Box "B" on Form 1864


Administrative Allowance 0.1 Hrs.

NOTE:
Add 0.1 hour Administrative Allowance to the total repair time.

Parts will not be direct shipped for this recall. Order your parts requirements through normal order processing channels.

PARTS RETURN INSTRUCTIONS

Action Required Upon receipt of this letter, please return all dealer inventory of part numbers F3XY-2140-B and F3XY-2004-B that were purchased before September 1, 1992.





If you are unsure of your purchase date, stock to be returned can be identified by a date code stamped in the front of the master cylinder (see Figure 1, Page 1, Attachment III for location of date code. The date code is the top number found in this location - ignore the number found at the bottom). Return all stock with date codes that begin with a number lower than 2245.


- Return parts to your facing PDC using least expensive transportation.
- Complete a separate FPS-340 claim for these parts.
- Indicate Reason "J" on the claims.
- In Remarks Section, write "Returned per Safety Recall 92S58.

Limits
- Returns are restricted to the subject parts listed above.
- Parts returned must have been purchased from FPSD in accordance with Policy and Procedure Bulletin 4000.

Credit
- Credit for parts and prepaid freight costs will be issued.
