ISSUE:
A "squeak" noise may be heard as the steering wheel is turned. This may be caused by a lack of lubricant on the intermediate steering shaft bearing seal.

1. Remove accelerator pedal stop and position carpet to the side.
2. Remove the three (3) intermediate shaft bearing/housing assembly nuts, Figure 1.
3. Slide the intermediate shaft bearing/housing toward the top of steering column, Figure 2.
4. Apply a generous amount of multi-purpose grease (DOAZ-19584-AA) around the top and bottom of the intermediate shaft bearing/housing seal, Figure 3.
5. Slide the intermediate shaft bearing/housing assembly down and against the bulkhead.
6. Install the three intermediate shaft bearing/housing assembly nuts. Tighten the nuts to 24-29 N-m (12-22 lb.ft.).
