Without Moveable Liftgate Glass
SYSTEM OPERATIONWhen the Ignition Switch is in ACC or RUN, battery voltage is applied to the Rear Wiper Motor Assembly, Rear Washer Motor, RR Wiper/Washer Switch and Rear Wiper/Washer Amplifier.
WIPER OPERATION
When the RR Wiper/Washer Switch is in the ON position, a ground signal is applied to the Rear Wiper/Washer Amplifier via circuit WBO4 (LG/BK). The Amplifier then applies a ground to the Rear Wiper Motor Assembly via circuit WB08 (BL/Y), causing the Motor to run. When the RR Wiper/Washer Switch is turned OFF, the Amplifier does not remove the ground path from the motor. When the Wiper is not in the park position, a ground signal is sent to the Amplifier via circuit WB07 (BL). This signal tells the Amplifier that the Wiper is not in the park position. When the Wiper reaches the park position, battery voltage is applied to the Amplifier via circuit WB07 (BL). The Amplifier then removes the ground signal from the Rear Wiper Motor Assembly and the Motor comes to rest with the Wiper in the park position.
WASHER FUNCTION
When the RR Wiper/Washer Switch is in the on position, a ground signal is applied to the Rear Wiper/Washer Amplifier via circuits WBO5 (GN) and WBO3 (GN). The Amplifier then applies a ground to the Rear Wiper Motor Assembly and the operation is the same as described earlier. At the same time the Rear Washer Motor is grounded by the RR Washer Switch, causing the Rear Washer Motor to run as long as the Switch is held.
