Keyless Entry: Service and Repair

NOTE: The permanent entry code cannot be used to operate the electronic door lock control system. It is only used to program a personal entry code.

The permanent entry code is located on the owner's warranty card, on a label inside of the glove compartment, and on an owner's code card. The code is also printed on the electronic door lock control processor.

The permanent entry code is a factory preset, five-digit code. Replacement modules include replacement labels and a new owner's code card.

To program a personal entry code, enter the five-digit permanent entry code followed by a five-digit personal entry code.

NOTE: The personal entry code must be entered within five seconds after the permanent entry code. For security reasons, sequential combinations of the keypad buttons and repetitions of the same button five times are not accepted by the electronic door lock control processor.
