NGS Scan Tool Connection






CAUTION
The vehicle ignition power switch must be turned off (key OFF) before connecting the Rotunda NGS Scan Tool 007-00500.

1. The vehicle ignition power switch must be turned off (key OFF) before connecting the NGS Scan Tool.
2. Confirm that the Memory Card is inserted in the slot in the back of the NGS Scan Tool.
3. Connect the DLC adapter to the NGS Scan Tool.
4. Inspect the vehicle's DLC connector for loose or damaged pins, corrosion or loose wires.






5. Connect the DLC adapter to the vehicle's DLC connector.
6. Plug the NGS Scan Tool power cable connector into the battery power hookup adapter. Connect the red adapter clip to the positive battery post and the black adapter clip to the negative battery post.

NOTE: For road test, connect the NGS Scan Tool power cable connector to the cigar lighter.

7. Check to see that all electrical devices are off - items such as radio, lights, power windows, A/C, rear window defroster and others.
8. The NGS Scan Tool should be hand held to be conveniently viewed and operated. If the NGS Scan Tool is to be operated in the engine compartment, be sure to route the connecting cable away from moving parts, ignition wires, coil and door or hood ornaments. If the NGS Scan Tool is to be operated in the passenger compartment, it may be placed on the seat.
