Diagnosing Customer Concerns With Hard Fault Codes
Most air bag system diagnostic procedures will require the use of the Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming procedures. These procedures allow the removal of the air bag from the vehicle and eliminates the risk of air bag deployment while diagnostics are performed.Air Bag Simulator T94P-50-A:
The Air Bag Simulator T94P-50-A is required to perform diagnosis and testing of the air bag system. The air bag simulator is a three ohm resistor that must be used to simulate an air bag connection in the system as specified in the deactivation procedure. It is not acceptable to jump the air bag connections with a zero ohm jumper wire. If a zero ohm jumper wire is used, a system fault may be displayed.
