Suspension: Description and Operation
OPERATIONThe independent front suspension consists of MacPherson struts riding in a heavy rubber spring seat. A forged steering knuckle bolts to the bottom end of the strut and also locates the ball joint. A stabilizer bar connected to both control arms via stabilizer bar links controls the vehicle's body lean while cornering. Each control arm attaches to a control arm gusset which is attached directly to the chassis.
