In the rear wiper system the rear wiper is driven by a single-speed electric motor mounted in the liftgate. The rear window wiper/washer switch is located on the upper righthand side of the instrument panel finish panel. When the rear window wiper switch is depressed, the rear window wiper pivot arm wipes the back window once every 10 to 15 seconds in a single speed motion. When turned off, the rear window wiper pivot arm returns to the park position.

When the back window glass is opened, the opening liftgate window glass switch opens, causing the current to the rear window wiper motor to shut off, stopping rear window wiper movement. The opening liftgate window glass switch is located below the back window latch, inside the liftgate.
