In the rear wiper system the rear wiper is driven by a single-speed electric motor mounted in the liftgate. The rear window wiper/washer switch is located on the upper righthand side of the instrument panel finish panel. When the rear window wiper switch is depressed, the rear window wiper pivot arm wipes the back window once every 10 to 15 seconds in a single speed motion. When turned off, the rear window wiper pivot arm returns to the park position.

The rear window wiper governor is located directly underneath the rear utility tray beverage holder, behind the lefthand quarter trim panel. It controls the operation of the rear window wiper motor. It is also a timing mechanism which allows the rear window wiper to operate in a delayed cycle.
