B9 Check Fan Control Relays

^ Key OFF.

^ Remove the low fan control relay, high fan control relay 1, and high fan control relay 2.

^ Using a jumper, connect terminal 2 of the fan control relay to the battery positive terminal.

^ Measure the resistance between terminal 5 and terminal 3 on the fan control relay.

^ Using a jumper, connect terminal 1 of the fan control relay to the battery negative terminal.

^ Measure the resistance between terminal 5 and terminal 3 on the fan control relay.

^ Repeat test step for each relay.

^ Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms without the battery negative terminal applied, and less than 5 ohms with the battery negative terminal applied?

YES -- Check the cooling fan control relay circuit.

NO -- Replace the fan control relay in question.
