Description
The Oxygen Sensor Monitoring Test Results allows access to the on-board 025 fault limits and actual values during the OBD II Drive Cycle. The test cycle has specific operating conditions that must be met (engine temperature, load, etc.) for completion. This information helps to determine the efficiency of the exhaust catalyst. Listed below are the tests and test identification numbers that are available.

Retrieving Oxygen Sensor Monitoring Test Results with New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester:

1. Perform the necessary vehicle preparation and visual inspection.
2. Connect NGS to OBD II DLC.
3. Select VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION menu (OPTIONAL).
4. Select NEW VEHICLE YEAR & MODEL.
5. Select year, engine, model with the appropriate qualifier, if needed (i.e., transmission, 49 state, California) (OPTIONAL).
6. Follow operating instructions from the menu (i.e., key ON).
7. Select GENERIC OBD II FUNCTIONS.
- Press CONT if all the OBD II monitors are not complete.
8. Select OXYGEN SENSOR TESTS.
9. Select the appropriate oxygen sensor test.
