Coil Spring

Exploded View Of Strut Assembly:

1. Remove coil spring / strut assembly.
2. Place assembly in suitable vise and remove strut nut cover.
3. Loosen, but do not remove, strut nut.
4. Use Rotunda MacPherson Strut Compressor 014-00781 or equivalent to compress coil spring.
5. Remove strut nut and rubber mounting block.
6. Remove strut bearing, bearing seat and upper seat/dust boot assembly.
7. If necessary for repair, remove dust boot by prying it from upper spring seat.
8. Remove coil spring from strut.
9. Slowly release tension from strut compressor.
10. Slide bump stopper off strut.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
