SAFETY BELTS - THIRD ROW SEAT - BROKEN GUIDE MOUNTED ON RIGHT SIDE OF SEAT - VEHICLES BUILT FROM 9/18/95 THROUGH 11/1/96

LIGHT TRUCK:
1996-97 VILLAGER

ISSUE:
A seat belt guide mounted on the right side of the third row seat may be broken on some vehicles. This may be due to the brittleness of the seat belt guide material causing breakage when forced out of position.

ACTION:
Replace the guide with a revised Seat Belt Guide. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE





Refer to Figure 1.

1. Remove the headrest from the third row seat. Refer to the appropriate Villager Service Manual, Page 01-10-29.

2. Open the J-clip located on the bottom.

3. Remove the two (2) attaching screws and replace the seat belt guide with the revised Seat Belt Guide.

4. Tighten the screws and close headrest trim by clipping the J-clip together. Make sure the J-clip is snapped together.

5. Reinstall the headrest on the third row seat.
