Special Field Action 96L09 - Villager Owner Guide Battery Maintenance Instructions

Affected Vehicles
All 1993 through 1996 Villagers produced at the Ohio Assembly Plant through June 5, 1996.

Reason For This Program
Battery maintenance information provided in the Owner Guides for the affected Villagers indicate that maintenance free batteries were installed at the assembly plant. Low maintenance batteries were actually installed when the Villagers were built.

Service Action
A revised page for the Owner Guide is being sent to the owners of all affected vehicles. Additionally, instructions are being provided with the Owner Letter for the periodic checking of battery fluid levels.
