REMOVAL






1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: Use only properly installed FCC approved radio transmitting equipment. Use of other transmitting equipment may cause the vehicle to malfunction or stall. If the engine stalls, power brake and power steering assist will stop.

NOTE: The removal and installation procedures apply to all original equipment instrument panel mounted radio chassis.

2. Remove the radio chassis.






1. Insert Radio Removing Tool into the radio face plate and release the radio retaining clips.
2. Pull outward on Radio Removing Tool to remove the radio chassis from the instrument panel.






3. Disconnect the radio antenna lead in cable and the radio electrical connectors.






4. Transfer the rear radio chassis support, if necessary.

INSTALLATION











1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
