Flushing

WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE COOLING SYSTEM WHILE IT IS HOT OR WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING.





1. Release pressure in the cooling system by slowly turning the radiator cap counterclockwise to first step of the radiator filler neck. When pressure has been released, remove the radiator cap.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the water thermostat.
4. Install the water hose connection without the water thermostat.
5. Use cooling system Flush-All, Flush Kit Hardware Package and Drain Kit to flush the engine and radiator.
^ Use Ford Premium Cooling System Flush F1AZ-19A503-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M14P7A.

6. Install water thermostat.
7. Back flush the heater core if necessary.
8. Fill the cooling system.
