Electrical Test

1. Measure the resistance between the above ignition switch terminals.

The resistance should indicate less than 5 ohms. If the resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace the ignition switch. If the resistance is less than 5 ohms, Go to step 2.





2. Measure the resistance between the above ignition switch terminals.

The resistance should indicate greater than 10,000 ohms. If the resistance is less than 10,000 ohms, replace the ignition switch. If the resistance is greater than 10,000 ohms, Go to step 3.





3. Measure the resistance between the above ignition switch terminals.

The resistance should indicate greater than 10,000 ohms. If the resistance is less than 10,000 ohms, replace the ignition switch. If the resistance is greater than 10,000 ohms, the ignition switch is OK. Return to Pinpoint Test.
