Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the power outside rear view mirrors.
2. Visually inspect the components of the power outside rear view mirror system.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged mirror(s)

Electrical
- Blown fuse:
- 10 A HEATED MIRROR
- 10 A MIRROR
- Damaged connectors
- Broken or loose wiring
- Corroded or poor connections

3. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
4. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
