Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify customer concern by operating the sliding roof panel. This may include a road test if a rattle or wind noise is involved.
2. Visually inspect the components of the sliding roof panel system.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged sliding roof panel
- Sliding roof panel height adjustment
- Sliding roof panel fore and aft adjustment

Electrical
- Blown fuse(s):
- 30 A PWR WDW
- Damaged circuit breaker #1
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections

3. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
4. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
