Flow of Diagnosis
1. Verify customer concern by operating courtesy lamps.2. Visually inspect the components of the courtesy lamp system:
VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
- Improperly adjusted LH front door
- Improperly adjusted RH front door
- Improperly adjusted body side door
- Improperly adjusted glove compartment door
- Improperly adjusted liftgate
- Damaged vanity mirror doors
Electrical
- Blown fuse:
- 15 A HOOD LAMP
- 15 A ROOM LAMP
- 7.5 A SEC
- Damaged lamp(s)
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections
- Corroded door courtesy lamp switch(es)
- Damaged diode junction box
- Damaged glove compartment switch
- Damaged overhead console
- Damaged rear dome lamp
- Damaged luggage compartment lamp switch
- Damaged visor mirror switch
3. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
