Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify customer concern by operating the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL).
2. Verify proper headlamp operation.
3. Visually inspect the components of the headlamp system.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged parking brake

Electrical
- Blown fuse(s):
- 7.5 A ELECTRON
- 10 A ELECTRON
- 15 A H/LAMP LH
- 15 A H/LAMP RH
- Damaged headlamp bulb(s)
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections

4. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
5. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
