Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

1. Raise and support the vehicle.






2. Remove the six LH inner engine and transmission splash shield bolts, LH inner engine and transmission splash shield screw and the LH inner engine and transmission splash shield.





3. Remove the transmission shift cable nut and shift cable and bracket from the Transmission Range (TR) switch.
4. Place the TR switch in the NEUTRAL (N) position.
5. Loosen the three TR switch bolts.





6. Insert Gear Position Sensor Adjuster T92P-7001O-CH into the TR switch and manual shaft adjustment holes as vertically as possible.
7. Tighten the TR switch bolts to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
8. Remove the pin from the TR switch.
9. Position the shift cable and bracket on the manual shift linkage rod and install the transmission shift cable nut. Tighten the transmission shift cable nut securely.





10. Position the LH inner engine and transmission splash shield on the vehicle and install the six LH inner engine and transmission splash shield bolts and LH inner engine and transmission splash shield screw.
11. Lower the vehicle.
