System Inspection

1. Visually inspect the components of the ignition system.
2. Check the vehicle maintenance schedule to ensure that the spark plugs and ignition cables have been properly maintained.
3. Check the ignition cables and boots for signs of poor insulation that could cause misfiring.
4. A damaged or worn timing belt can cause symptoms that appear to be timing related. Verify condition of timing belt.
