To prevent the replacement of good components, be aware that the following non-EEC areas may be at fault:
- Fuse, bulb or socket.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose:
- Harness circuit: MIL
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) circuit
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
