Diagnostic Reference Values
PCM Inputs And Outputs:
DIAGNOSTIC REFERENCE VALUES
For tests involving switches, the values will be switch OFF or ON. Reference values shown may vary approximately ±15% depending on operating conditions and other factors.
FOOTNOTES
1. A/C Switch (A/C SW) is ON with A/C ON.
2. A/C Relay (ACR) is ON with engine running and A/C ON.
3. VST is ON when starting the engine, then goes OFF when the engine runs.
4. Self-learning control air/fuel mixture ratio. It is an automatic compensation for the difference between the basic and theoretical air/fuel mixture ratio, computed in terms of fuel injection duration. The value is memorized in the PCM memory.
5. Air/Fuel Ratio Correction (A/F COR). If A/F COR is less than 100%, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is compensating for a rich signal from the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S). If the A/F COR is greater than 100%, the PCM is compensating for a lean signal from the HO2S.
6. OFF when the steering wheel is in neutral, ON when it is turned.
7. ON when Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is between 95°C (203°F) and 99°C (210°F) with A/C OFF, or when ECT is between 100°C (212°F)and 104°C (219°F) with A/C OFF and VSS at 19 km/h (12 mph) or less or when ECT is between 100°C (212°F) and 104°C (219°F) with A/C ON.
8. ON when ECT is between 100°C (212°F) and 104°C (219°F) with A/C OFF and VSS at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more. Or, when ECT is 105°C (221°F) or more.
