Installation

INSTALLATION
1. Inspect the studs on the exhaust manifold for signs of wear or deterioration and replace as necessary.
2. Install a new WU/TWC-to-exhaust system flex tube gasket.
3. Position the WU/TWC on the vehicle.
4. Install two new WU/TWC gaskets.
5. Use the three exhaust manifold-to-WU/TWC nuts to loosely install the WU/TWC to the exhaust manifold.
6. Loosely install the two WU/TWC-to-exhaust system flex tube bolts.
7. Tighten the exhaust manifold-to-WU/TWC nuts to 60-70 Nm (45-51 lb-ft).
8. Tighten the WU/TWC-to-exhaust system flex tube bolts to 43-55 Nm (32-40 lb ft).
9. Slide the exhaust system flex tube clamp into position.





10. Use Oxygen Sensor Wrench T94P-9472-A to install the upstream HO2S in the WU/TWC.
- Tighten the upstream HO2S to 40-60 Nm (30-44 lb-ft).
11. Connect the upstream HO2S electrical connector.
12. Install the LH engine and transmission splash shield.
13. Lower the vehicle.
14. Connect the battery ground cable
15. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks.
