Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.





2. Disconnect the power transistor electrical connector.
3. Remove the power transistor bracket-to-cylinder head bolt.
4. Remove the power transistor with the bracket attached.
5. Remove the two power transistor-to-bracket bolts.
6. Remove the power transistor.

INSTALLATION

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten the power transistor-to-bracket bolts to: 3 Nm (26 in lb).
- Tighten the bracket-to-cylinder head bolt to: 13 Nm (9 ft lb)
