The safety belt warning chime sounds for four to eight seconds Simultaneously with the illumination of the safety belt warning indicator lamp if the front safety belt tongue and retractor is fastened when the ignition switch is turned to ON. However, if the front safety belt is fastened prior to placing the ignition switch in the ON position, the safety belt warning chime is canceled
