Coolant Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Service and Repair

COLD ENGINE LOCKOUT SENSOR

REMOVAL
1. Remove the upper intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the Cold Engine Lockout (CELO) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the CELO sensor from the tee fitting on the inlet heater hot water tube.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Apply Pipe Sealant with Teflon (R) D8AZ-19554-A or equivalent meeting Ford specifications WSK-M2G350-A2 to CELO sensor threads. Tighten CELO sensor to 11-19 N.m (9-14 lb-ft) .
