Generator General Description
GENERATORWhen the engine is started. the generator (GEN) begins to generate alternating current (AC) which is converted to direct current (DC) by the rectifier. This current is then supplied to the vehicle's electrical system through the B-terminal located on the rear of the generator.
The internal voltage regulator (VR) varies the generator rotor field excitation according to the electric current demand of the vehicle. The current demand of the vehicle is sampled through the S-terminal on the generator.
