Steering Column Bearing

When checking the steering wheel free play, also check for radial play or wobble between the steering wheel and steering column. Any free play detected reflects wear in the steering column bearings, and can add to apparent free play.

NOTE: The steering column bearing and retainer are integral to the steering column assembly, and are not serviced separately.
