Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify customer concern by operating the power window system and/or the heated back window system.
2. Visually inspect the components of the power window system and the heated back window system.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Improperly aligned window
- Damaged window mounting (regulator and bracket)
- Window frame interference

Electrical
- Blown fuse(s):
- 10 A ELECTRON
- 10 A HEATED MIRROR
- 30 A PWR WDW
- 10 A MIRROR
- 20 A REAR DEF
- 45 A RR DEF
- Damaged switches
- Damaged master window regulator and door lock control switch
- Damaged window regulator control switch
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections
- Damaged heated beck window grid
- Corroded and/or damaged power window relay
- Corroded and/or damaged rear defrost relay

3. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
4. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
