Fuel Injector: Description and Operation

The fuel injectors:
- are electrically operated by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- atomize the fuel as the fuel is delivered.
- are deposit-resistant.
- each has an internal solenoid which opens to inject fuel into the lower intake manifold.

CAUTION: Use fuel system O-rings which are made of special fuel resistant material. Use manufacturer's replacement O-rings, if needed.
