NOTE: The inside rear view mirror bracket is bonded to the windshield glass and unless it is damaged it should not be intentionally removed.

REMOVAL
1. To remove a damaged inside rear view mirror bracket, use an edged tool to carefully chip the bracket off the windshield glass.

INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the windshield glass, the inside rear view mirror bracket, and the Rear View Mirror Adhesive D9AZ-19554-CA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M2G176-A, are at room temperature 18°-24°C (65°-75°F).

2. Locate and mark the inside rear view mirror bracket location on the outside surface of the windshield glass.
3. Thoroughly clean the bonding surfaces of the windshield glass and inside rear view mirror bracket to remove old adhesive. Use a mild abrasive cleaner on the windshield glass and a fine sandpaper on the inside rear view mirror bracket to lightly roughen the surface. Wipe surfaces clean with an isopropyl alcohol-dampened cloth.
4. Crush the accelerator vial (part of Rearview Mirror Adhesive D9AZ-19554-CA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M2G176-A), and apply the accelerator to the bonding surface of the inside rear view mirror bracket and the windshield glass. Let dry for three minutes.
5. Apply two drops of Rearview Mirror Adhesive D9AZ-19554-CA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M2G176-A to the mounting surface of the inside rear view mirror bracket. Using a clean toothpick or wooden match, quickly spread the adhesive evenly over the surface of the inside rear view mirror bracket.
6. Quickly position the flat side of the inside rear view mirror bracket on the windshield glass. Press the inside rear view mirror bracket firmly against the windshield glass for one minute.
7. Allow bond to set for five minutes. Remove any excess bonding material from the windshield glass with an isopropyl alcohol-dampened cloth.
