Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify customer concern by operating courtesy lamps.
2. Visually inspect the following components of the courtesy lamp system:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Improperly adjusted LH front door
^ Improperly adjusted RH front door
^ Improperly adjusted body side door
^ Improperly adjusted glove compartment door
^ Improperly adjusted liftgate
^ Damaged vanity mirror doors

Electrical
^ Blown fuse:
- 15A HOOD LAMP
- 15A ROOM LAMP
- 7.5A SEC
^ Damaged lamp(s)
^ Damaged wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connections
^ Corroded door courtesy lamp switch(es)
^ Damaged diode junction box
^ Damaged glove compartment switch
^ Damaged overhead console
^ Damaged rear dome lamp
^ Damaged luggage compartment lamp switch
^ Damaged visor mirror switch

3. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
