Inspection and Verification (Start Testing Here)

1. Verify customer concern by operating the autolamps.
2. Visually inspect the components of the autolamp system.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Covered photo transistor

Electrical
^ Blown fuse(s):
- 7.5A A/C CONT
- 15A H/L LH
- 15A H/L RH
- 100A MAIN
^ Damaged autolamp switch
^ Damaged wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connections
^ Detective autolamp module

3. Verify that the headlamp system is working properly. If the headlamp system is not working properly refer to the procedure to diagnose the system.
4. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage.
5. If fault is not visually evident, determine symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Chart(s)
