Horn: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the front LH wheel and tire assembly.
4. Remove the LH front fender splash shield.







5. Remove the horn bracket bolt.







6. Disconnect the two horn electrical connectors.
7. Remove the horns and horn mounting bracket from the vehicle.
8. Remove the locknut securing each horn to the horn mounting bracket.
9. Remove the horn(s) being replaced from the horn mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the locknuts attaching the horn(s) to the horn bracket to 8-10 N.m (70-88 lb-in).
3. Tighten the horn bracket bolt to 4.2-6.1 N.m (37-54 lb-in)
4. Tighten the lug nuts to 98-118 N.m (72-87 lb-ft).
